2024 Happy Holiday

Wishing everyone
the merriest...the happiest
...the peacefullest Holiday Season...
and the happiest New Year!

Open the card!

Another Holiday Season is upon us with all the joy and merriment we allow. So give into the wonders of the season and enjoy yourself. Like the song goes:
...Forget your troubles, come on get happy....

There have been a couple dogs shows attended (not that I attend many anymore). It was good to see the McLoughlin's...Jim, Marie, and Michael. They brought Cookie, Ozzy, and Derby (the not-a-Tibetan). I showed Keys and Pretzel. We had a good time visiting for the two days and showing at the Framingham District Dog Shows that hosted the Bay Colony Tibetan Terrier Specialty.

Miss Cookie (CH Lukilu's Life Is But A Dream At Kiara) got the best praise going Best Opposite Sex in the Veteran Sweepstakes. Her true beauty shined brightly. The old girl still has it!

Cookie in action!

Ozzy, Keys, and Pretzel enjoyed showing off as well. They kept us all on our toes.

And so good to catch up with friends who also came to show and some who just came to enjoy the many many beautiful TTs.

I enjoy hearing all about the the activities enjoyed by everyone with their TTs. Whether it's a birthday celebration, big activities like participating in the Bay Colony Tibetan Terrier Club's Jamboree, or just enjoying how bros can cuddle, please keep me in the loop. Halloween offered a reason to dress up. Whether they are greeting trick'o treaters at the door or participating in costume events...they want to do it! Roadie certainly did.

I thank everyone who has shared their stories with me.

Dennis,

Macy has grown into a gorgeous and loving dog who is enjoying our family and grandchildren.

Best, Debbie and Dick

Hi Dennis!

I hope all is well! Thought you might be interested in seeing Tony and Myrtle. As you can see, they are thriving!

Dennis,

Charlie turns six years old on 7/16/24. Here’s a picture of him on his birthday. Charlie is very laid-back like his mama, Lucy. Actually, when I say the name Lucy he perks up and looks at me.

Charlie is my best buddy. He’s the church dog. He loves all humans, especially babies. He loves to be with the children at church and is amazed at how quick they run around. He loves to be part of the pack of friends at day camp. He goes to Barn Dog in Essex twice a week to see his pals. He loves to run the beach. He’s not jealous of other dogs being in our house. And has no problem jumping in the car and going for a ride. He’s a dream come true.

Thank you, Dennis, for making my life complete with my little pal.

Hi Dennis,

It seems impossible that today Ditto is four years old! Here she is having a birthday party at her doggy daycare. I must admit to be astonished that she allowed them to crowned her – definitely not her thing!

She continues to be a joy. She’s known as the mayor of our little neighborhood – always looking for attention from anyone walking by – definitely way more of an extrovert than Cooper was! Life is good; she’s equally happy walking the streets of Cambridge, sailing in Maine or riding shotgun on an adventure in the car. I’m so glad I was looking at just the same time she was born.

Many thanks, as always.

Hi Dennis,

Hope you and the Danvers pack of TTs are all doing well and having a Happy Halloween!

I misplaced our AKC registration paperwork and with it, Wally’s birthday. I am sure it is approaching his birthday --or recently passed-- since we picked him up just after New Year’s. I want to be sure he gets celebrated appropriately (like he doesn’t get a party every day…ha ha).

He’s doing great otherwise. Such a funny little guy. I can’t believe he’s already a year old! Will send more photos after his next bath and blowout. But here he is as you remember him.

Best,

Ben

Hi Dennis,

I just had to send you a picture. To say that Henry is thriving would be an understatement. It’s amazing that through 7 TTs --while there can be similarities in personality and demeanor-- they are all unique. Henry is the life of the party and let me tell you, every day for him is a party!

Ranger is now 12 and still is kind of a puppy. He puts up with Henry and even instigates himself sometimes. They are definitely cut from the same cloth.

AJ is my cuddle old sole. He is the sweetest TT I have ever had. He loves to play with Henry, but on his own terms.

I hope you are well and enjoying some crisp fall weather.

All the best.

Susan

Dennis,

A picture of Private Roadie. Wishing everybody has a happy Halloween!!!

Dear Dennis,

I hope this finds you well and happy. When you brought our puppy to us just a year ago, you said here is your great white whale of a puppy. That was my Robert named him Moby. The vet tells me he’s a little too plump, but I think that is his nature from birth. I have never had a TT (all 6) who loves food as much as he does.

I am attaching this picture so you can see what he looks like at 14 months. He is really a great watch dog and is also the friendliest dog at the dog park. He plays with all the other dogs and never gets in a scuffle. He is an ambassador! What a joy.

His favorite place is in the window surveying his kingdom.

Have a wonderful holiday. Despite everything there is much to be thankful for. Our best to you,

Candace

Since 2008 I have prepared a YouTube video of photos I have received from all the wonderful TT families who have made a loving home for a Kiara Tibetan Terrier. I saved them all, scan the holiday cards, and try to include most of them. This year is no exception. I hope you take a moment to view the YouTube video to help celebrate the Holiday Season and this exceptional breed.

With sadness I share the news about

Lou's Vinnie,

Nancy & Rick's Pippi,

and

Ellen and her family's Brewster

(who wrote about him)

who all  found their ways over

the Rainbow Bridge.

I am always grateful to know

how they were loved...

right to the time

you have to say goodbye.

Dennis,

Sorry to tell you, but Brewster passed over the Rainbow Bridge on Thursday.

A few months ago he was diagnosed with stage five lymphoma. He was very brave and strong until the end. Brewster came from a litter born in October 2012. Susan also got a boy (Ranger) from the same litter. Brewster with my baby boy and I am beyond sad at his passing.

Thank you again for such a great dog.

Best Ellen

Life is a circle. It begins here at Kiara in a whelping bed for little ones. Then into a pool to help keep them warm and safe. These precious wonders are being well taken care of by me and their dedicated momma, Pink.

I decided to be super productive and post "Puppy Life" on TikTok. That's an experience in itself for me...being new to TikTok. But I am trying to document it all from birth to the time they leave here. It's titled Puppy Life with the hashtag #puppy life. (Now there are a whole lot of words I've never used before in my life!)

More later...
